Hamidreza Ghorbani, born in Isfahan on July 30, 1991, is a singer, songwriter, composer, and arranger. His main style is composing music for films and series. Among his works is composing music for the popular series “Young and Restless.”
According to Artmag.ir, he started learning music as a teenager and was influenced by underground rap music. He started learning guitar by listening to Iranian and world pop music and soon became a master musician.
Hamidreza Ghorbani started learning music with his brother’s encouragement in 2007, at the age of 16, while studying at the conservatory and computer science department, and he started learning piano and music theory in a few sessions with the late professor Nasser Cheshmazar. He eventually started composing and composing melodies. Little by little, he became interested in composing songs for fellow singers and was able to compose his own songs as a composer. He said in an interview with Radio Iran: “My father thought I would become a painter, but in the end I ended up singing.”
He is also a researcher in the field of music and health and improving the functioning of the immune system and has written many articles on this subject.

In 2017, after a decade of activity in the field of musical art, he succeeded in obtaining a license from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and pursued his music professionally. Now, due to his collaborations with the greats of rock and pop music in the world, he is known as one of the pioneers of the world music scene and is considered a former member of the International Music Federation.
He officially began singing professionally in 2017, singing the song “I Imagine You Are,” which was the result of his successful collaboration with Yaser Sakimehr, a musician, composer, and orchestra leader, and Bahram Ebrahimi, an actor and announcer. He took voice solfeggio courses, and then released several singles, which were welcomed by his fans.
He began composing music using music-making software on his personal computer, and years later, with a more detailed understanding, he began learning music theory. At the age of 24, he set up his own studio and began composing, mixing, and mastering.
In 2021, Hamidreza Ghorbani produced and released several international albums on the theme of love, hope, and peace in collaboration with American musician and singer Shay Watson.
In recent years, he has written and composed various songs for Iranian singers that have been released on the Iranian Broadcasting System, including the song “Iran” sung by Mohammad Kasaeifar.
In 2021, he produced several songs for the famous and highly watched series “The Young And The Restless”, for its various episodes, or worked in the sound recording, mixing, and mastering departments. One of his best works is the song “Enough,” which received a certificate of appreciation from the producers of this popular series for its production, mixing, and mastering.
The song “I Imagine You Are”, with the permission of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in 2017, is also the result of the collaboration of Hamidreza Ghorbani and Bahram Ebrahimi. In addition to the unique theme of the song and the musical arrangement by Yaser Sakimehr, its beautiful and effective lyrics have made it doubly beautiful. Hamidreza Ghorbani, a singer, songwriter, and composer, considered the current state of Iranian music to be very important and crucial, and said: Now is the time to establish a connection between generations with a cultural approach through music. If we are negligent today, tomorrow will be too late.
He added: It makes no difference that we all must strive to achieve the rights of music listeners, especially the young generation. The time has come for this to happen, and if we hesitate in this matter, it will have undesirable results.
Ghorbani said: We must see the needs of the young generation and give it importance. If we look at Iranian pop music, we will see that very good emerging singers have started producing quality and desirable works; but this is not enough, and being content with this story will cause us to lag behind or stagnate. Certainly, our current view should not be like that of 20 years ago.
He added: “Iran’s international music should be among the priorities of our executive and cultural and artistic systems so that the country’s good singers, composers, and artists can be introduced to the world, collaborate positively and favorably with artists from other countries, and contribute significantly to the formation of a sound structure in the field of international music. This will create a safe environment for the growth and flourishing of young Iranian talents, and our pop or even authentic and traditional music can be exported to the world in the best possible way.”

Ghorbani concluded by saying: Today’s music audience, which is mostly young people, is highly intelligent and at the same time very creative. Iran’s potential for globalization in music
Hamidreza Ghorbani believes that Iran has high potential to reach a global level in the field of music.
He said: We have done less work in the world music genre, and addressing this issue is necessary and requires a cultural revolution. Pop music has undergone a rapid trend in recent years, and we have witnessed some brilliant works; but since there are many music genres in the world of music, why don’t we address some of them that are not alien to our culture and identity?
Ghorbani added: “One of the most difficult genres in music is world music, and the process of its creation and formation to its final production is very complex and sensitive. It must be viewed with a correct and artistic approach.”
He stated: Since our role and that of our artists in this new world order is very important and determines the identity and destiny of the Middle East culturally, we can make the most of the potential of young artists and the experiences of experienced professors and artists in the field of music.
The artist said: Our happy days in music will begin when, with proper recognition and understanding of our abilities and creating the right platform, we can interact with the world. This interaction includes creating and producing joint pieces between Iranian artists and other countries. We have done this before, and how successful we have been or not in this field will be determined by the people and professional music listeners; but we must extend a hand of friendship to the world! What is wrong with that? Ghorbani continued: Our artistic infrastructure needs fundamental changes. By addressing our shortcomings in the field of music, we will witness significant changes in this field. It is obvious that music is produced that does not have an expiration date and is not necessarily disposable, and listeners will not get tired of listening to these works over and over again. Therefore, providing sustainable and comprehensive support for artists should be a priority for our executive systems, and special policies should be adopted. We have a young human resource and in this new and innovative order, we have a lot to say.
It has been and is a big mistake not to compare ourselves with the world and only to ourselves. Incidentally, we are no less than other countries and we should not just watch the developments in the Western music industry. If we look at it realistically; with the mental growth of the new generation in all fields, especially art, we have the ability to implement our ideas and we have the hardware, software, equipment, and knowledge to produce exquisite works of art.
The composer said: This is not an illusion, Iran and Iranians have a very high intelligence and if this intelligence and wisdom is used in the field of art, a great revolution will occur that will make the world pay attention. We have young people who are very talented and perfect and specialized in various fields and they want to stay in Iran and serve their country and when it comes to Iran, with any political, social attitude and different tastes, they are all unanimous; they are patriotic, patriotic and guardians of the blood of martyrs and appreciate the sacrifices and veterans and they have great respect and dignity for the bravery of the men of God that took place on the fronts of the 8-year war.
Today’s children are the same children of yesterday, it is enough to trust the young generation and use them and their abilities in various fields, because they are the assets of Iran.
