Biography
At the age of 14, he began working in workshop and exhibition of Mohammad Habib Mohammadi, a Gilani painter who studied art at Moscow Academy of Arts. His father was an employee of Telegraph and Telephone Department and was transferred to Tehran. During his family stay in Tehran, he studied at Tehran University of Arts for a few months. It was at this time that he joined the War Rooster Association, founded by Jalil Ziapour, and for a time was the editor of the literary-artistic weekly: Rooster Claw. Through this association, he entered modernist movement in Iran, whose members were Nima Yoshij, the father of modern Persian poetry, Sohrab Sepehri, Houshang Irani and Gholam Hossein Gharib. He was an association with his elders, including Nima Yooshij, Forough Farrokhzad, and Jalal al-Ahmad. He traveled to Europe in 1954, and was residing in Italy, and was engaged in the art Academy of Rome a time unto Frochioo Fratzi to learn art. The result of this period of life, several group and individual exhibitions inside and outside Italy, and participation in exhibitions such as Biennial Venice, Sao Paulo and Paris. Bahman Mohassi, with his father cousins daughter, named: Nezhat al-Muluk, who was a secretary at Bandar Anzali and later in Tehran, was married to the high school of girls in 1977. The two were going to marry a lot more before, but due to the movalial commute to Italy, it was delayed. Their relationship was the phone, because he lived in Italy and his wife in Tehran. Hat al-Muluk, who lived independently for himself, died in about 1996 or 1997 due to brain tumors.

In 1963, a new movement in the art of his country was returned to Iran and attended exhibitions, conferences, and numerous programs in the years. During this period, he received the order of sculpture to set up in Tehran, but many of his general works have been destroyed or damaged after the Islamic Revolution, and the artist himself also ruined his work in Iran. He sometimes traveled to Iran. Aidin Aghdashloo, an Iranian writer and researcher, and a renowned critic, said: I think he is one of our five great artists of contemporary art.
