Artless and mixing Iranian strings with electronic music
“Artless” album, is an attempt to provide a new experience by combining Iranian string instrument and modern elements of electronic music.
According to Artmag.ir, Jahanbakhsh Ahmadpour’s second musical album “Artless” has just been released. The album, which contains 10 pieces in fusion style, gives main role to string instrument and completely avoids previous adaptations.
Hamid Mohebbi also collaborated with Ahmadpour in this project as an arranger, mix and mastering.
Jahanbakhsh Ahmadpour, in explaining this album said:, This work is result of my concentration and effort in producing music from tar instrument, which is presented in a unique way by combining Iranian music and electronics. Each piece of this album has its own independent song and is not separated from roots of Iranian music.
Ahmadpour added: Emphasizing importance of music responding to different moods of people, “The album “Artless” is an attempt to preserve and promote Iranian music, using elements of past and creating a close relationship with listeners.”
In this album, collaboration with Hamid Mohebbi has come to fruition and positive effect of this collaboration can be clearly seen in final quality of works. Hamid Mohebbi, with an academic education in music and sound engineering, played an important role in arranging and recording this album.
In the end, Jahanbakhsh Ahmedpour mentioned his future plans and said: “I plan to regularly produce new works and maintain my connection with listeners. Making music videos and performing live in different places are among my future plans. “Live performance in streets and cafes is also one of my favorites.”
Ahmadpour’s previous album, “Nish”, which was accompanied by Amirhossein Rahmati’s vocals, emphasized the influence of vocals on Iranian music, and he has recently returned to music scene with “Artless”.
