The winners of the second stage of the call for composition of Petrikor Music Publishing were announced.
According to ISNA, citing public relations of Petrichor Music Publishing, mid-August this year was deadline for submitting works to the first period of the “Young Composers” project, which was launched by Petrichor Publishing. Out of a total of 86 works received for this call, 78 works were considered eligible for judging, and the selection team selected 12 works to participate in the second stage. Subsequently, the 12 composers who made it to the second stage were given a two-month opportunity to revise their work by attending private and group meetings, and to resubmit the final version to Petrichor Publishing for the second stage judging. Next, the selection team for the first round of the “Young Composers” project will perform six works by Klariz. Keshavarz and recorded and released by Petrichor Music Publishing.
According to the works selection group; “Reza Vali”, “Arshia Samsaminia”, “Klariz Keshavarz” and “Amin Sharifi”, in group A (composers under twenty-five years), “Arshan Najafi” born in 2001, “Farzan Salsabili” born in 1998 and “Ali Sadeghizadeh” Born in 1997 as the first to third persons and in group B (composers over twenty-five to thirty-five years), Peyman Salehian born in 1985, Kamyar Behbahani born in 1986 and Ata Ghavidel born in 1987 were introduced as the selected individuals, respectively.
It was then decided that after performing the six selected works of the second stage, a composer from each age group would be selected to receive the award for composing the Petrichor Music Publishing.
