Registration of 250 artists to participate in the National Virtual Exhibition of Handicrafts

The CEO of the parent company of Iran Tourism and Tourism Development announced the registration of 250 artists to participate in the National Virtual Exhibition of Handicrafts in three days and said: “This number of artists have registered to participate in this period of the exhibition for three days.”

According to the Miras Aria website, Khashayar Nikzadfar announced the news: “This year, for the first time, the National Exhibition of Handicrafts will be held virtually due to the outbreak of coronary heart disease, which is a new experience in holding national handicrafts exhibitions.”

He added: “In this regard, a system has been designed with the address that handicraft artists enter this system in order to participate in this exhibition, and registration will be done separately for each province.”

The CEO of the parent company of Iran Tourism Development continued: After registering in this system, the handicraft artist will be evaluated by a handicrafts expert in the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province and then referred to the deputy of handicrafts or the general manager of the province for approval. With the final approval of the director general, the artist registration process is completed and it is possible for them to sell their products through the system.

Nikzadfar added: “This exhibition is completely free and Iran Tourism and Tourism Development Company does not receive any money in this regard.” Artists’ products are delivered to buyers through the postal company. In this regard, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Deputy Minister of Handicrafts and the National Iranian Post Company, according to which the post office offers a 30% discount for sending artists’ products; However, we are looking to increase this discount.

He continued: “Although holding the National Exhibition of Virtual Handicrafts is a new experience, we have no restrictions on registering artists.” So far, 250 people, both real and legal, have registered in the announced system, and we predict that the number of registrants will reach more than a thousand.

This year’s National Exhibition of Handicrafts will be inaugurated virtually on the occasion of the 17th of Rabi al-Awal, the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on Tuesday, November 3th.
