Cinema photographer Hossein Maleki has died
Hossein Maleki; The actor, photographer and cinematographer passed away on Saturday morning, April 3th, due to an illness.
According to IRNA news agency, He was born in 1941 in Tehran and started his career photographing films in cinema and then went to filming, although he also appeared in many movies as an actor.
He started his artistic activity in cinema in 1959 as a film photographer. In addition to photography, he also acted, and although he also played a role in most of the films in which he was responsible for photography, he was always known as a cinematographer before the revolution.
He started filming with the movie Niaz, directed by Davood Nejad after the revolution, and quickly focused on this profession. In addition to movies, he also shot several series, including City Search and Trial.
He also worked as a cinematographer in Foggy Port, Traps, Salad Season, and starred in the films Senator, Plunder, Stone Lion, Train, Gentleman, Old Road, Oath, and the TV series The Engineer Kid.
The Cinema Photographers Association sent a message of condolences on the death of this veteran cinema photographer.
The text of the message reads: “In the early days of spring, the news of the death of Hossein Maleki, an artist and photographer with a background in film and director of photography in Iranian cinema, is impressive. He served in the cinema for many years with indescribable interest and his presence has always been a great encouragement to his colleagues.
