The first period of the outdoor film festival “Aseman” with artistic and tourism features will be held by the “Lavan Film Mokrian” filmmaking institute under the management of “Ebrahim Saeedi”, an experienced cinematographer, in the city of Mahabad in West Azarbaijan province.
According to Artmag.ir, “Lavan Film Mokrian” Film Institute with the cooperation and assistance of the Municipality and the Cultural Commission of the Islamic Council of Mahabad, the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of West Azerbaijan and the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Mahabad; The first period of the outdoor festival of short films, screenplays and photos “Asman” with the focus on art and tourism will be held in the city of Mahabad.
This festival, with the approach of improving the level of cinema art and the culture and art of the region, attracts the tourist audience in the city of Mahabad and the region; It is held in the first half of Shahrivar every year, for four days, in the main square of the beautiful and touristic city of Mahabad.
In the “Aseman” outdoor film festival, showing the works of the main and secondary sections; Every night, in the open space of the square and the main point of the city, “Mangoran Square”, there will be 2 screenings, and during the day, specialized meetings and educational workshops will be held with the presence of prominent professors and prominent cinema and photography experts.
Guests present at the festival and tourists who will travel to Mahabad city and Mokrian region during the festival; At the same time, they get to know the cultural and artistic capabilities and potential of this pristine and beautiful region. With this aim, side programs have been designed and prepared to introduce the culture and art of Mahabad and the region, which are implemented during the day in different areas of Mahabad city.
The design of this festival has been prepared after 4 years of expert work by the experts of “Lavan Film Makarian” Institute; which is held with the assistance and cooperation of engineer Babak Rostampour, the mayor of Mahabad and also Dr. Arash Shahabi, the head of the city council, with the slogan of promoting urban culture and creating a suitable atmosphere for communication between people and tourists.
The logo of the first period of the outdoor film festival “Asman” was designed by Mansoor Mohammadi, a prominent graphic designer and photographer of Mahabadi; The symbol of the festival, derived from the historical symbol of Fakhrigah and combining it with the schematic of the film and a fluid rotation on the background of the blue sky, is a simple and modern redefinition of the cultural and historical identity of Mahabad, in which art has a special place.
The stone crypt of “Fakhrigah” is a tomb belonging to the Medan period, which is located next to the village of Inderghash near Mahabad.
