Goodbye to mass dubbing!

Manouchehr Valizadeh, dubbing director and veteran speaker, asked head of Radio and Television Organization (IRIB): “Young people enter dubbing with the hope that you have the air for them.”

In an interview with ISNA, the TV and radio artist, who says that he mostly dubs films for platforms these days, said: “I work very little for television these days and I am mostly busy dubbing American and European films for one platform.” We are; But unfortunately, because we still go to the recording room one by one, we are not very aware of the movies and their stories, sometimes we do not even know their names! and this is not a good thing, but we have to work with the same procedure to maintain our health.

Valizadeh on whether the dubbing situation has improved and changed compared to the last few months? He pointed out: nothing better has happened so far; Anyway, there is work in dubbing and colleagues are busy. Dubbing never closes. I have said before that Corona has ruined everything, but we have to do the same. Unfortunately, this situation has become very difficult for dubbing executives; Since it may take three days to dub a movie, it seems that this form of dubbing has become fashionable and the mass dubbing is over. I think these days I’m talking about a marathon, not dubbing.

He then referred to the observance of hygienic protocols in the dubbing workspace and said: “Thank God, the colleagues are very observant, and despite the fact that we are present one by one in the recording room, the space is constantly disinfected so that no one gets caught in the corona.”

The veteran speaker also commented on the activities of the younger speakers in the dubbing association: “The younger members of the association are working hard, however, we hope that the dubbing situation will improve day by day.” In my opinion, with these conditions, young people should persevere, some young people come to dub for more income, but dubbing really has no income. If they are really interested in this art, they have to persevere and be patient to get started.

Manouchehr Valizadeh in the end about whether he has a message for the head of Radio and Television Organization (IRIB) to improve the dubbing situation? He said: “First of all, I wish good health to all, those who work less, God willing, will be full of work, and then, after the officials think, pay the salaries of their colleagues on time and raise their salaries a little;” Especially for young people because they enter this job with hope anyway. It is better to support the youth a little more. God willing, good things will happen, you journalists can also bring our voice to the authorities so that good things can happen.

Manouchehr Valizadeh has voiced well-known actors such as Robert De Niro, Keanu Reeves, Tom Hanks, Nicholas Cage, Jim Carrey, Will Smith and George Clooney and many know his voice with the role of “Luke” in the cartoon “Lucky Luke”.
