Majid Rajabi Memar (Managing Director of the Artists’ House) and artists such as Hamid Reza Ajami, Ruhollah Delkhani, Hojjatullah Ayoubi and Mohammad Heidari, spoke at the commemoration ceremony and spoke about the character, art and teaching methods of Yadollah Kaboli.
Following the ceremony, Yadollah Kaboli came on stage and said, “I thank all the loved ones who described my artistic and educational life, and they made me happy. “We are talking about history, and it is pleasant for us when we hear words rooted in the language of great people who are themselves creators of art and who have wisdom in researching and evolving art.”
Welcoming all the artists present at his birthday party, he said: “Sometimes my children complain about me, I spend more time with my students, but I tell them that they are the fruit of my life. Children that I am always by the side of the country and I always have a sense of empathy and cooperation with them. Not only for my direct students, but also for anyone who is interested in art, and it is interesting that it is not just about calligraphy. Because I am as interested in calligraphy as I am in Iranian instruments, poetry, literature and carpets. “The comprehensiveness of any artist’s world is to be attached to other arts.”
The artist continued: “It was the same for me to be familiar with painting. My acquaintance with the open space of Chinese paintings and that flight of birds, etc., had this effect on me, and I thought I should also move freely on the page, so sometimes I joked that the Chalipa was rotten and there were thousands of points on the page to start with. has it. So I started writing from every corner of the paper, and the result was a method that has been accepted today and will continue to shine even brighter.
He added: “Another gift of my life was learning about artists.” I remember my teacher, Mr. Seyed Hassan Mirkhani, who in the late 1960s saw me stay in his classroom until the end of the meeting, and then I followed him home and talked to him all the way. “I told him I wanted a father to follow him all my life, and Mr. Seyed Hassan Mirkhani, with his sweet pen, which was the bridge between the past and the new generation, created unique works in his time.”
“I have felt many times how good it is for people to have a global connection in their artistic endeavors and to proclaim their national art approach everywhere,” Kaboli said in another part of his speech. I thank God, I was honored to speak only of Iranian art in the United States and Europe, and I knew it was my mission to speak of the art of my country, not of myself; Because there are so many famous calligraphy artists that we try to preserve our identity in modern times. Our masters of art are the suns that have risen and there is no sunset for them. Who wants to forget the name of the great Mir Emad, who has preserved his art students from India and Egypt, and today, with the wrong policies of the West, has registered calligraphy in the name of Turkey? While in Ankara and other cities of Turkey, shadows of Iranian calligraphy are evident. “These are things that history will not forget.”
