Exhibition: On The Wall, works of Mahmoud Kalari in Iranshahr Gallery
A collection of illustrations by cinematographer Mahmoud Kalari will be displayed at Iranshahr Gallery.
According to Artmag, a collection of works by Mahmoud Kalari, a veteran cinematographer, entitled: On the Wall, will be on public display at Iranshahr Gallery from February 28 to 29.
On the wall is an experience of 15 years of Mahmoud Kalari’s travels to different parts of the world and photographing and reconstructing murals.
In this exhibition, we see the selection and collection of pieces of different graffiti and their combination and putting together, which has led to the creation of a new concept and shape.
Photos: The fall of the Berlin Wall was Mahmoud Kalari’s last exhibition at the Artists’ House in early 2000s.
Master Mahmoud Kalari, was born in 1951 in Tehran, is an Iranian photographer, cinematographer, actor and director. He studied photography in New York and photographed at the Sigma International Photo News Agency in Paris.
He held his first photo exhibition entitled: The Story of Adam’s Loneliness in 2006 in Tehran.
Mahmoud Kalari has won the Crystal Simorgh 4 times for Best Filming at the Fajr Film Festival and holds the record in this regard.
Master Kalari was named one of Time Magazine’s top 15 photographers of the year in 1980, and his photographs have been published in French, German and American magazines.
