11 million Tomans, the most expensive book in Tehran Book Fair

The most expensive book at this year’s book fair, is Shahnameh Hakim Abolghasem Ferdowsi by Yassavoli Publications, which is priced at 11 million Tomans. In some booths, we came across the cheapest books this year, which cost between 2 and 3 thousand tomans.

According to Artmag quoted by IRNA, The spiritual and cultural prices of books are not comparable. But their material price can be compared to number on back cover. The economic value of books depends on the effort it takes to write them. Also, components such as cover material, number of pages, type of binding, cut and paper material are effective in book pricing. This year, in a brief review, we came across books that cost between 3 and 11 million tomans on back cover. Books with higher prices may appear on other days. Therefore, we must keep in mind that record of the most expensive book is valid until the moment of publication of this report, and this record may be broken at any moment with another book.

The book Shahnameh by Hakim Abolghasem Ferdowsi is published by Yassavoli Publications. It is priced at 11 million Tomans and is offered with a 10% discount.
