Biography
He started his activism in the cinema since 1970. His first artistic experience was painting, and at the age of 18 he was able to win an award in a contest. Shortly after this success, he was accepted at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Tehran University. At the university he further paid to learn drawing and graphic design. From him two sons named: Ahmad born 1971 and Bahman born 1978. His second child, Bahman Kiarostami, was at the age 1993 of 15, the director of the film and the director and documentary: A Journey to the traveler’s land. Kia Rostami used dark glasses because of the sensitivity of his eyes to light.
