Arsalan Kamkar

Birthday: 23 December 1960
Birthplace: Sanandaj

Biography
He is a violinist and Oud player and member of the Kamkars band. He learned the basics of music with his father, Hassan Kamkar. In concert in Sanandaj, he performed with various bands led by his father. After traveling to Tehran, he continued her music education at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. After completing his music lessons as a violinist, he began working with the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. Arsalan Kamkar is now a valued member of the band and the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his violin, he is skilled at playing Oud. He said on 10 May 2015, at the Wahdat Hall, after a celebration: “I retired a year and a half ago, but I was very upset about why a multi-year orchestra was shut down. ! Maybe that didn’t matter to me, but I was delighted to hear that Ali Rahbari was coming to Iran to lead the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. I have always said in my interviews that only Ali Leader can enhance the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, and this is what happened today. To be honest, it was hard for me to be in the orchestra, I was tired, but I wanted to work with the orchestra and I’m proud to have been with the valuable Tehran symphonic artists to this day. I have to say, though, that I can’t do anything anymore.

Master Arsalan Kamkar later said in a detailed media interview after criticizing the management and the low-wage process of all musicians in state orchestras: “I now have the ability to practice three to four hours a night.” I still have the zeal to be on the form as a musician. The reason I didn’t come out of the orchestra wasn’t because of the disability, I came out of the orchestra because I didn’t want to work with that low figure as a salary.
