Bita Vakili

Birthday: 21. March 1973
Birthplace: Tehran

Biography
She started painting in high school and has been working in this art continuously and professionally for the past 28 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in painting from the Faculty of Art of Islamic Azad University and a master’s degree in painting from the Faculty of Art, University of Tehran. Bita Vakili has participated in 9 individual exhibitions, six auctions in Tehran and more than 80 group exhibitions in Iran, Dubai, Canada, USA, France, China, Malaysia, Monaco, Armenia, Oman and England. She is one of the young painters who has achieved records of 25, 32 and 45 thousand dollars for the sale of his works at the Christie’s Dubai auction. The name of Bita Vakili was registered as the most expensive female artist in the Middle East in 2011, with the sale of her work at the 12th Christie’s Dubai auction for $ 48,000. Bita Vakili has freed herself so much in portraying what she likes that only a sincere expression can mediate her and the world around her. By eliminating narrative, eliminating familiar elements of nature, eliminating any kind of literary or philosophical expression, she seeks a kind of purity and reaching a meaning that is possible only with refined visual expression. The abstract quality of his works creates many meanings and perceptions. Concepts that are very difficult to transfer from the pure image to the word. Bita Vakili has developed her field of action to the point of reaching a kind of music. The abstract atmosphere of his works expresses a transcendental and cosmic emotional understanding.

She composes and deals with his works in a way that gives the viewer the opportunity to associate meanings to infinity. The general public sees the work of art but does not understand it. “Millions of Chinese speak Chinese every day, if I do not know Chinese it does not mean that they do not say anything,” said Pablo Picasso. She organizes his works through abstract expression. This painter has tried to confuse the element of creativity with a kind of ambiguity. She is well aware that the more ambiguous his mental subjects are, the more he has access to novel and unexpected spaces, and in such a state she can constantly make new discoveries.

Bita Vakili’s works escape from physical situations to prepare the scene for viewing in a metaphysical environment. Therefore, since metaphysics has been observed, it has been presented by color and playing with color motifs on a two-dimensional surface of the canvas; These works can be considered as expressing the mood and feeling of a human being, which have taken on an unusual effect with the support of a kind of metaphysical processing. These works are exercises in creativity and a powerful tool in penetrating the transcendental.

The book of Bita Vakili’s collection of works has been published by Idea Publications. This book has been prepared and compiled in the form of a monograph and by reviewing the works of this contemporary painter during a decade of her serious presence in the international arena of art, she analyzes her works.
