Shahla Nazerian, one of the veterans in field of dubbing and the wife of the late Hossein Erfani, died of a heart attack on Sunday evening, April 24, 2022.
According to Artmag, Mahsa Erfani, daughter of Shahla Nazerian and Hossein Erfani, has confirmed news of death of this dubbing veteran.
She also announced about details of funeral ceremony of the body of late Shahla Nazerian: The funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 27th of April, at 10:00 AM in Beheshte Zahra artists’ section.
Shahla Nazerian, during her years of dubbing, has played many world actors including Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Bacall, Sophia Lauren, Diane Keaton, Raquel Welch, Fei Danawi, Anne Margaret, Catherine Spock, Catherine Ross, Elizabeth Taylor, Julie Christie , Silva Cushina, Jacqueline B. Se, Catherine Deneuve, Michel Mercier, and… Speakers.
One of his most brilliant speeches in the dubbing of the famous film “Casablanca” is instead of Ingrid Bergman, along with his wife Hossein Erfani, instead of Humphrey Bogart.
The late Shahla Nazerian was born in 1947 in Tehran and died at age of 75. He entered the field of dubbing in 1962 while studying in high school, and in fact, his dubbing career began in 1963.
She first started narrating with short roles under supervision of Ataullah Kameli, Saeed Sharafat and Mohammad Ali Zarandi, and then, due to her talent, she was soon noticed by the dubbing directors as the narrator of the first roles.
