The call for the 20th Tassvir Sal “Image of the Year” and Tassvir Film Festival has been released with changes to mark the 20th anniversary of the event.
According to Artmag.ir, 20th edition of “Tassvir Sal” and Tassvir Film Festival will be held from February 20 to March 8, 2024, as in previous editions, with all exhibition spaces and film screenings of Iranian Artists Forum at its disposal.
The main feature of the 20th edition is a review of the works presented in the last 20 years (a selection of photographic prints, graphics and caricatures in galleries, as well as the screening of award-winning films and a selection of prominent films presented in previous editions of the Tassvir Film Festival).
New exhibition works will be presented only in special section “Mobile Photos”.
Mobile photos with a free object including works produced in the last 2 years (March 2022 to February 9, 2024) are considered for a maximum of 10 single photos and there is no age requirement for the participants.
Review of visual works and films of the past 20 years
In respect and validity of the number “20”, this year in the 20th edition of Tassvir Sal and Image Film Festival, instead of publishing the usual call of the past years, we will review the works of photography, posters, caricatures and films presented in the 20th edition of Tassvir Sal Exhibition and Film Festival. Tassvir.
A special review that will undoubtedly be a special meeting place for people of culture and art, both in terms of the history of visual arts in Iran and due to the attractiveness and educational facilities of the exhibition as well as the quality of the roundtable reviews of the selected works.
“Mobile Photos” contest and exhibition call
The 20th edition of Tassvir Sal and the Tassvir Film Festival will be held from February 20 to March 8, 2024, as in the previous editions, with all the exhibition and film screening spaces of Iranian Artists Forum at its disposal.

• In the competition of mobile photos, 20 selected works will be awarded diplomas of honor and cash prizes, and it should be noted that all the artists who entered exhibition section of mobile photos will be awarded a certificate of “selection of work and participation in the exhibition” by the Tassvir Sal festival.
• The entrance fee for the number of 1 to 10 photos is 50 thousand tomans, which please be transferred to the bank card number: 6221061105242483 Parsian Bank (Akram Hashemlou).
Note: Mobile photos must be submitted as original files with the photographer’s details (first and last name (Persian and English), year of birth, city of residence and contact number) and the image of the deposit receipt, no later than 24:00 on February 9, 2024 only to Email address: mobilephoto20@tassvir.com should be sent.
• Due to the very limited opportunity to select and print works for presentation in the exhibition, the deadline cannot be extended in any way.
The results of the review and names of artists admitted to the mobile photo exhibition section and the review section of the last twenty years of the Tassvir Sal exhibition and the Tassvir Film Festival, which will be carried out by selection of Tassvir Sal expert group, are announced below:

The final ceremony and awarding of prizes to winners of special section: “Mobile Photos” of 20th Tassvir Sal will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024.

1- Showing more than 500 selected works of photography (news, social documentaries, art and artists, sports and creative photography), caricatures (press, art) and posters along with selected works of pioneers of photography, graphics and caricatures in Momayez galleries, Winter, Autumn, Summer, Spring, Nami and Mirmiran
2- Screening of more than 60 selected films of the Tassvir Film Festival from 2003 to now, including (films that won the award for youth under 25 years old and a collection of works by prominent filmmakers of the free section of previous periods) in Shahnaz Hall
3- Holding a review meeting of films presented in the Tassvir Film Festival with presence of famous filmmakers and well-known cinema critics.
4- holding a review meeting of the posters presented at Tassvir Sal celebration with presence of prominent graphic design artists
5- Holding a review meeting of cartoons presented in Tassvir Sal celebration with presence of leading cartoonist artists
6- Holding a review meeting of news photos presented at Tassvir Sal celebration with presence of Photojournalists
7- Holding a review meeting of social documentary photos presented at Tassvir Sal celebration with presence of leading social documentary photographers.
8- Holding a meeting to review the photos of another view (creative) presented at Tassvir Sal celebration with the presence of leading artistic photography artists.

The final ceremony with the commemoration and presentation of a plaque of thanks to the participants of the last 20 years of the Tassvir film festival and awarding of awards for mobile photos will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Shahnaz Iranian Artists Forum hall.
• Since we are reviewing the terms of attracting sponsors for special programs of the 20th Tassvir Sal celebration and the Tassvir Film Festival, the names of cultural and financial sponsors of this period and the details of review meetings will be announced later.
