Biography
He is the singer of Iranian traditional music and santour player and Setar. He started his music from thirteen years in Tonbak. Then he learned the Santour with Sirous Saghari and to complete it from homologous such as: Faramarz Payvar, Reza Shafiiean’s collections, and Pashang Kamkar. He also used the song of Mahmoud Karimi and Mohammad Reza Shajarian. His greatest incentive was to study his father’s science and art. He was surrounded by the science of the old and literature, and enjoyed the sound of the song, and with the masters of the arts such as Jalal al-Din Homaeia, Taj Esfahani, Hassan Kasaei, and… Interaction and publication had provided the same space to educate his children. Hesamoddin Seraj, son of Seyed Mohammad Reza Saraj, has a master’s degree in architecture from Shahid Beheshti University and PhD in art research from Art University. He is also responsible for the Iranian traditional music ensemble: the Bidel. In addition to singing, he also has a song of music in some of his works and is familiar with playing santour and Setar.
