Biography
He is senior child of Master Hassan Kamkar, and naturally began his work in a space of love for his music. He would be a accordion in adolescence. With his brothers and sisters, they began a team step by step and were running in Sanandaj’s Officers Club, schools and halls, instrumental music, and Kurdish music. After obtaining a diploma in natural School, he came to Tehran from Sanandaj. His father was a friend of Master Hossein Dehlavi and sent the boy for guidance to him, and he called his master for two years at the evening Conservatory of music expert, and with the same title Sanandaj was back and taught music in his hometown. The year 1972, the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, entered into the Department of composition with the first degree. He later went to the United States and received his master’s degree from the San Francisco State University in the history of music. After being returned to Iran in the year fifty. He was responsible for ten years at the University of Art to teach music and to manage the Department of Music for six years, from 1993 to 1999 years. During this period, the formation of the Kamkars group was more formal and its management was assumed by the family tradition and scientific and practical experiences of him.
Master Houshang Kamkar, (according of his academic education in music, has written and translated specialized works in this field of study, including them can be orchestration principles, by: Rayanaki-e-(Chang – 1983), Fugue and Anension, 20th century harmony, the control of medals, music Classic and romantic, orchestration, control, and song-making training pointed out. Ballad: Where are you martyrs of God?, one of the most famous songs that construct and set up and run with the voices of his brother Bijan Kamkar. The song: Land Anthem, with a poem by: Langston Hughes, American Negro poet and translation of Ahmad Shamloo, also from other renowned works by Master Houshang Kamkar share.
He began his activities in the field of film music, since 1983, with the creation of the film Music of Freedom Bridge, and has achieved a valuable experience in this regard. He is now the manager of the Kamkars and the Kamkars Music Institute and continues to experience and work with a very high energy, education, compilation and making of valuable works.
