Biography
He started makeup and face painting in 1972 under the supervision of Bijan Mohtasham on Iranian national television. Eskandari was one of the first artists to be able to do face painting based on personality. His successful experiences in this field include the series: Uncle John Napoleon on TV and the movie: Deer in the cinema. Thirty-five years of his tireless and valuable efforts in the field of face painting and training of many students, many of whom are now among the leading face painting designers in Iran; The prestigious Make Up Artist magazine made Iran one of the top ten countries in the world and Alexandria one of the ten most important designers in the world in 1999. Master Eskandari has so far received five Crystal Simorghs from the Fajr Film Festival and also won the statue of the Cinema House. So far, he has designed more than one hundred and sixty film and television projects in Iran. Cinema, the day of the incident, the survivor, the witch, the snowman, the loved ones, the mother, the traveler Ray and… mentioned. He continued his work with the series Hezardestan after the revolution, which designed and performed the portrayal of this series; It is still one of the leading works in this field in Iran. Other outstanding works of this artist include designing and performing the face of Mahmoud Basiri in the role of an old woman in the second episode of Mohsen Makhlbaf’s film The Salesman and the face of Ezatullah Entezami and Gohar Kheirandish in the film Lady, directed by Dariush Mehrjoui, which shows his high mastery.
After including the face painting section in the list of the best of the Fajr Film Festival, which took place from the seventh period; Eskandari for the films: Mother, Made by: Ali Hatami, Naser al-Din Shah, Cinema Actor, by Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Zero Heights, Made by Fallah Layalestani, The Last Port, Made by Hassan Hedayat, Day of the Event, by Shahram Asadi and The Witch, Made by Davood Mirbagheri Crystal Simorgh has become this string. For nomination in the film: No Date, No Signature, he was nominated for the best make-up of the 20th Great Iranian Cinema Festival.
