Biography
He graduated in industrial electricity from Iran University of Science and Technology and has an artistic degree from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic guidance. He is about 50 years old and has been engaged in photography by nature, architecture, social, industrial and air, from Iran, cultural heritage and antiquities. He has published more than 65 of the exquisite books of Iran with photo content, which can be found in books: from Pasargad to Darab, Iran legendary land, travel to Iran, Persepolis, Iran and Iranians, seven climate, Sistan and Baluchestan, Iran, ancient Saray, Gilan, Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari, Semnan, Hafhashtad D. Color of life and Iran, human, nature, life pointed. Ostad Bakhtiar is mainly photographing nature and social life and also deals with industrial photography. He was active in a section of Iran’s documentary as a photographer. Afshin Bakhtiar is also a long time the official National Geographic photographer in Europe and more than 70 international exhibitions have been held in his works. He is the official photographer of UNESCO, the United Nations cultural sector in the Middle East and has been working for UNESCO from most of Iran’s world-wide registry locations and has collaborated with cultural heritage and Tourism Organization in the country to introduce and record photos from various provinces. He has been making more than 200 festivals in the country, and has held many photo exhibitions in Iran and abroad, as well as the jury of the second National Festival of Shahnameh. He has always been in his interview that he would breathe Iran.
