Publication of book “Radio Documentary in Language of Adam”

Third volume of book “Radio Documentary in Language of Adam”, including operational guidance for directing radio shows and reading plays, translated and written by Mehdi Azari, was published by Soroush Publications and went to market.

According to Artmag.ir, third volume of book “Radio Documentary in Language of Adam” has recently been published by Soroush Publications, translated, researched and written by Mehdi Azari. This book is an operational guide for directing radio shows, drama documentaries, radio theater, and play reading from zero to one hundred.

First recorded radio documentary should be considered related to the fall of Hindenburg balloon in 1937, followed by CBS six-month series in 1939 entitled “All Americans… All Newcomers…” about life of nomadic communities in America. Of course, let’s not forget that if we examine these first radio documentaries today, we may never include them in documentary structure, but this does not mean that we forget their historical movement.

A few years after the World War, networks, one by one, became interested in topic of radio documentary, while by that time, radio programming in other structures had a history of about half a century.

In 1970s and with emergence of National Public Radio in United States in 1971, radio documentaries again changed their nature in a non-commercial and educational way, and in a short period of time, programs such as “All that has been studied” creative methods of documentary programming, in realm of radio developed.
