Honouring 135 Veteran Cultural and Artistic Figures in Isfahan

An honorary ceremony celebrating prominent figures in culture and the arts, under the slogan “Iran Is Not Just Tehran”, will be held in Isfahan Province on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, honouring 135 veteran and prominent figures from the province’s cultural and artistic community.

According to Artmag.ir, the ceremony aims to honour and pay tribute to veterans of culture and the arts. It will be held on Wednesday, 2 September, at Chehel Sotoun Palace Museum in Isfahan, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Isfahan Province.

The ceremony will honour 135 veteran figures from various cultural and artistic fields, including cinema, theatre, music, visual arts, poetry and literature, the Qur’an and Ahl al-Bayt, and the media.

The event provides an opportunity to introduce and honour figures who have worked in Isfahan’s cultural and artistic fields for many years and have played an important role in enriching the cultural life of the region.

Isfahan is the 18th destination of “Haft Bahr-e Honar” (Seven Seas of Art), an initiative that continues the Art Credit Fund’s approach of recognising the cultural and artistic capacities of Iran’s provinces and strengthening direct engagement with the cultural and artistic community across the country.

The event’s slogan, “Iran Is Not Just Tehran”, also emphasises the Art Credit Fund’s focus on the breadth and diversity of Iran’s cultural and artistic landscape and the need to pay attention to artists and cultural figures in all parts of the country.

In recent years, the Art Credit Fund has sought, through provincial programmes and direct engagement with cultural and artistic communities, to identify existing capacities and challenges while creating closer connections with artists and responding more effectively to their needs across the country. The “Haft Bahr-e Honar” event in Isfahan is part of this broader approach.
