According to Artmag.ir, quoted by IRNA, the short film “Idiot” directed by Maysam Mohammadkhani and produced by Fatemeh Mokhtari, in its first international appearance, was able to receive the best actress award at “IndieFEST” festival in United States.
This actor has previously won many awards in international festivals and this is her first international award for playing a role in movie “Idiot”.
This event, started in 2008, aims to introduce independent filmmakers and unique voices from around the world to serious cinema audiences.

Fatemeh Mokhtari, Saghi Hajipour, Kimia Khalaj, Saeedeh Roudbaraki, Motahera Mousavi, Elham Ahmadi, Mahna Meraji, Mohadeseh Mohammadzadeh, Bahareh Shaaban, Tannaz Rezaei, Behnaz Heydari, and Marzieh Yektay have played roles in “Idiot”.
Regarding her role in this film, Mokhtari says: Marzieh continued her normal life at peak of honesty and innocence until a push from her dormmates caused her patience to overflow. In this role, I was able to present various feelings and games to audience and I am very happy about this.
