Touraj Aslani

Birthday: 21 March 1974
Birthplace: Kermanshah

Biography
He began his photography activity from the age of 10 at the Center for the intellectual development of children and teenagers in Sonqor and filming at the age of 14. The start of his activity in film making, since 1990, was in the Iranian Young Cinema Society with the creation of a large number of short films and the beginning of his cinematic activity as the youngest director of the film of Iranian cinema in 2000 with white sleep films. This film was produced by Hamid Jebelli and Majid Modarresi. Aslani is the youngest and first Iranian cameraman who was able to receive the award of the 20th videographers World Festival of International, tears, and rhinoceros. With more than ten international awards in his book, he is still ready to announce short films for shooting. He has said about the latest activities: There are two three years that could not be possible to cooperate with Iranian cinematic friends because filming is for me another definition, except for a job. The ravages of the production and similarity of many Iranian cinematic films has made me think of my foreign offerings because collaboration with other countries has a fresh and new experience. Of course last year was a film called Melancholy, directed by Morteza Atash Zamzı to the end of went, sadly not accepted at the Fajr Film Festival. Pointing out that in the two years with the company of the German film and an English company, he said, “another issue under the title of the work space in our cinema has caused people to feel worried about their future. As you have seen, many cinematic projects have been closed in these years.

Aslani continued a while ago a film called The Black Wind, which was filmed on the border of Iraq and Turkey to the end of went. The film was about the ISIS terrorist group, directed by Hossein Hassan, an Iraqi Kurd director. The black wind was attacked by ISIS terrorist groups to the villages around the town of shale in Iraq and their aggression to several Kurdish Izadi girls. The main location of this film was at the Khanaki camp around the city in the Kurdistan region, most of which have been resettled (Sinjar), where they reside. After that, another film directed by Hashem ID Mir, the common product of German, English and Turkish company to the end of the went that the film now takes its final steps such as the compilation and acoustics. Aslani added: According to the type of products and problems that the way we produce our films, I’ve focused on foreign films. For me, of course, the quality of the work is important and the Iranian and foreign being, but anyway these days I am reading the scripts that are the location of them on the side, because when I attend such works I work from the script to the post production involved, for example In the film of the Black Wind, in winter, spring and summer was involved in the project because we had to work with standards and accuracy. I wish this process was also more serious in making internal works.

He continued that we have been involved in the pre-production phase in the country-based commitments that are being taken out of our projects outside of Iran, for 8 months. I even remember the design of decor one of the videos a year during this time I was constantly discussing the film’s factors, because anyway they have their own standards that everyone in such a situation will work more relaxed.
