“For Iran”: Group Exhibition at the Iranian Artists Forum

The group exhibition “For Iran,” serving as a platform for artistic narratives on themes of homeland, hope, and the future of Iran, continues its run at the Iranian Artists Forum, with artists consistently contributing new works to the secretariat.
According to Artmag.ir, citing ISNA, the exhibition has undergone a refresh, with new pieces currently replacing the original selection.
Unlike conventional art events, “For Iran” is not a static showcase. As artists continue to submit new works, previous pieces are rotated out.
This living, evolving cycle complemented by a participatory fingerprint performance of the Iranian map during the closing workshops ensures that the exhibition’s appearance is constantly reinvented.
Starting Friday, May 22, 2026, the first batch of sold artworks was removed from the walls of the Iranian Artists Forum.
Simultaneously, painters and sculptors have continued to submit new pieces, which are installed in the Bahar, Tabestan, Paeez, Zemestan, Mirmiran, Momayez, and Nami galleries immediately following registration and review.
This process holds a clear significance for the audience: those who visited during the first four days will encounter a completely new exhibition upon returning today or tomorrow. This dynamism serves as the defining characteristic that sets “For Iran” apart from standard exhibitions.
On Friday evening, coinciding with the final day of the practical painting workshops, participating artist Barbod Yazdani performed a collaborative piece. He displayed a large map of Iran and invited visitors to add their own fingerprints to it.
The response was overwhelming; in less than two hours, the entire map was covered in layers of fingerprints. Yazdani described the act as “a symbol of unity within diversity.”
While the workshops concluded on Thursday and Friday with the participation of Gholamhossein Altafi, Parisa Darabi, Mozhdeh Mirpanj, Hossein Norouzi, Behrouz Kiani, Allahyar Khoshbakhti, Barbod Yazdani, and Roohollah Hosseinzadeh, the exhibition remains open to the public daily (except Saturdays) from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM until May 29, 2026.
“For Iran” opened on May 18 across all galleries of the Iranian Artists Forum. This 10-day event, organized in collaboration with contemporary painters’ associations and independent sculptors, offers free admission to the public.
According to the organizers, more than 20 new works were received by the secretariat within the first two days a testament to the artistic community’s pressing need for such a space amidst times of war and crisis.
Visitors can view both the newly rotated artworks and the collaborative map created during Barbod Yazdani’s performance at the galleries through May 29.
The Iranian Artists Forum is located on Mousavi Street, Iranshahr Street, and welcomes visitors daily until 8:00 PM (closed on Saturdays).
