Death of master Mohammadreza Riazi

Mohammadreza Riazi, one of the researchers of history of art, died on evening of June 15 due to cardiac arrest.

According to Artmag.ir, Mohammadreza Razi was born in 1949 in Keshe village of Tarq Rud district in Natanz County, Isfahan province. At the end of 1974, he was officially employed by Ministry of Culture and Art and worked in financial-administrative department of Archaeological Center, and from 1979, he was transferred to Library of Iran National Museum.

Master Mohammadreza Riazi was a graduate student in geography and completed his master’s degree in archeology in Tehran University in 1990s.

He has taught, in Iranian universities in the fields of archeology, museology, architecture and art research.

In addition to his research and research activities, in the field of art history and archeology, in his professional career, he has served as head of the Library of Iran National Museum, a member of  research council of Iran National Museum, a representative of Organization of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism in World Memory Committee of UNESCO, and teaching history of Iranian art and world is in Tehran University, Al-Zahra, Shahid Beheshti, Iranology Foundation, University of Arts, Higher Education Center of Cultural Heritage and Art university of Isfahan.

Master Mohammadreza Riazi, has written more than 70 books and articles about art and civilization of Iran and the world.

The books “Iran National Museum Manuscript List”, “Esfahan Book”, “Iran National Museum Guide”, “Cultural Heritage Organization Library Medical Manuscript List”, “The Course of French Researches in Iran”, “Illustrated Culture of Iranian Art Terms”, ” Translation of the book of Islamic Designs, book “Designs and Patterns of Sassanid Fabrics and Clothing”, “Museums in Iran”, “Illustrated Culture of Sports Paintings” and “History of World Art” are among works of this author and researcher.

The memory of his memorable classes in last 4 decades will always be with graphic students.
