Nasrolah Medghalchi’s Night at Iranian Artists Forum
A tribute to veteran dubbing artist Nasrolah Medghalchi will be held at Iranian Artists Forum.
According to Artmag.ir, qouted Mehr, the 88th Bukhara Nights, in collaboration with Bukhara Magazine and Iranian Artists Forum, is dedicated to commemorating Nasrolah Medghalchi, a dubber and teacher of the art of expression and dubbing.
The meeting will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, with speeches by Shahriar Shahindeji, Ali Zarean, Reza Partoizadeh, Sajjad Azizi, Hamed Mokhtarani, and Ali Dehbashi in the Ostad Jalil Shahnaz Hall of the Iranian Artists Forum. Another part of the meeting will be the screening of the documentary film “Medghalchi by Medghalchi” directed by Alireza Zahmtekesh.
Nasrolah Medghalchi (born 1944 in Tabriz) is a dubber and lecturer in speech and dubbing techniques at universities and schools in the country, such as University of IRIB and the Darolfonoon School.
He is one of the leading and supporting voice actors in the history of dubbing, and is well known for dubbing for prominent figures from world cinema such as Anthony Hopkins, Jean Gabin, Gene Hackman, Lee Van Cleef, Hank Schrader in “Breaking Bad”, Eli Wallach in “The Good, the Bad, the Ugly” and Robert De Niro in “Full Moon Killers”.
His notable works include dubbing for Michael Ansara in the role of “Abu Sufyan” in the film “Muhammad the Messenger of Allah” and the memorable title “Anne Shirley, the Girl with the Red Hair”, the text of which was also written by him.
He is an unforgettable voice actor in the series “Westworld” instead of Anthony Hopkins and in the animation “Rango”.
His voice is characterized by bass and solidity. He also has a degree in art and is one of the top professors at University of IRIB. Many consider him one of the best dubbers in Iran.
