Kambuzia Partovi died

Kambuzia Partovi, director and screenwriter of Iranian cinema, has died.

 In an interview with ISNA, Nasrin Moradi, the director’s wife, confirmed that Kambuzia Partovi had died this morning, December 25, at Dey Hospital.

Born in 1334, this cinema director has directed films such as “Fish”, “Golnar”, “The Game of the Elders”, “Transit Cafe”, “Grandmother Lala and her children”, and “Truck”. His most recent film is Truck, which has not yet been released to the public.

He has also written screenplays for works such as “I am Taraneh 15 years old”, “Ferrari”, “Circle”, and “Mohammad Rasoolollah (PBUH)”.

The artist was recently honored at the Children and Adolescents Film Festival. He has received several domestic and international awards.

“Transit Cafe” was considered by critics to be the most important and controversial work in the filmmaker’s career, and won the admiration of viewers for his flawless performance based on the screenplay he wrote. Partovi won the Mar Del Plata International Film Festival Award and the Dhaka International Film Festival Pfeiffer Award, as well as the Crystal Simorgh Award for Best Screenplay at the Fajr Film Festival and the Golden Statue of the Cinema House Festival. The Golden Balloon Award went to the Tri-Continental Festival in 2005.

Partovi was born in 1334 and completed his education at the former Faculty of Dramatic Arts (Faculty of Cinema and Theater) of the University of Arts. During his student days, he directed several short documentaries and short stories for Iranian television; But perhaps the pinnacle of his talent can be found in screenwriting. “Fish”, “Shirk”, “The Game of the Elders”, “Singing Cat”, “Golnar”, “Ferrari” and “House Waiting” are among the works written by their screenplay. and “I Saw Your Dad Last Night, Aida”, “Abandoned Station”, “I am 15 years old” and “Muhammad Rasoolollah (PBUH)” are among the films he co-wrote.

Partovi won the Best Film award at the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy, the UNICEF Award at the Berlin Film Festival and the Best Film Award at the Adelaide Film Festival in Australia. This screenwriter had previously received the award for best screenplay for the film I have a song for 15 years, in 2001 from the 20th Fajr Film Festival. For the third and fourth time, he received this award for the screenplay of Ferrari (Alireza Davodenjad) and Truck.

According to the arrangements made with the Cinema House, the body of Kampuzia Partovi, one of the leading figures of the country’s cinema, will be buried in the artists’ section. Kasra Partovi, the son of Kambuzia Partovi. said: “According to the current situation and the peak period of Corona, the funeral of the body of screenwriter and film director Kampuzia Partovi will be held in the presence of his family in the Behesht Zahra artists’ section without holding a ceremony.
