Master “Osman Mohammadi” (Osmaneh Suvour) is one of the most prominent Duduk musicians in Iran. The unique way of playing and creating unique and lasting works has placed this artist in the true sense at the pinnacle of the musical art of Kurdistan, both in terms of ability and performance technique and in terms of fame.
Master “Osman Mohammadi” (Osmaneh Suvour) was born in 1940 in the village of Qareh Kand, one of the districts of Bukan city. At a young age, influenced by Shemshal, master “Qadir Abdollahzadeh” known as “Qale Mehreh”, advisor to the jury of Kerman district music festival, started learning Shemshal and soon started playing this instrument with a Shemshal that master “Qale Mehreh” prepared for him. had done, learned and then switched to playing the “Dozaleh” instrument, and after gaining the necessary skills in playing the Dozaleh, he began to learn the “Duduk” instrument in a serious and professional manner. He then went to Iraqi Kurdistan and learned the music of local officials from master “Hasan Nei” in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
Master “Osman Mohammadi” (Osmaneh Suvour), in 1966, started his artistic activity with the cooperation of famous artists of Mokrian region in the south of West Azarbaijan province, and with famous singers such as master Hassan Zirak, Ali Khandan, Abdollah Houshmand “Abe Dehrezhi”, Seyyed Ali Rahimpour (Sardashti), Seyyed Ibrahim Saqqezi, etc. performed in various artistic gatherings and programs.
Master “Osmaneh Suvour” has many works including private performances with different singers and in the 2000s he recorded and produced two music albums named “Guli” and “Hehzhan” with the voice of “Khebat Molodi” with the official permission of the Ministry Farhang and Islamic guidance have been published, Duduk has played and performed solo. He has participated in several music festivals in the cities of Tehran, Sanandaj, Mahabad, Bukan, Sardasht, Saqqez, and the national music festival of Iran’s regions in Kerman, and has won various prizes and certificates of appreciation from these artistic events.
He has more than 60 years of experience playing in regional orchestras and traditional music groups and collaborating with prominent artists and music masters of Kurdistan. He is currently a resident of Bukan city in West Azarbaijan province and earns his living by playing music and has a special place and respect among the art-loving people of Kurdistan region.
