A few films and 2 Iranian judges at Dhaka Festival
The 21st Dhaka International Film Festival will host more than 10 Iranian films in its new season.
According to Artmag.ir, in the competition section of Asian films of this event, the films “The Last Snow” (Amir Hossein Asgari), “Without Appointment” (Behrooz Shoaibi), “Motherless” (Seyd Morteza Fatemi), “Ruz Sib” – Apple Day (Mahmoud Ghaffari) , “Life and Life” (Ali Qavitan) and “Forbidden Womanhood” (Maryam Zarimehr) will be exhibited.
“Anti” (Amir Abbas Rabiei), Sniper (Ali Ghafari), “Song of the Wind” (Soodabeh Beyzaee), “Ba Bad” (Mohammed Tabarsa), “Sonsoz” (Reza Jamali), “Solouk” (Abbas Rafei), “Wind in the Sugarcane Fields” (Ebrahim Ashrafpour) and Nane Makhmal (Amir Hossein Khalilzadeh) are also present in the world cinema section on behalf of Iranian cinema.
This year, Iranian filmmaker Pouran Derakhshandeh will be one of the judges of the Asian film competition in this film event, and Elahe Tahai has been chosen as the judge of the interfaith section to select the best meaningful film of Dhaka festival.
Last year, the film “Shahrbanu” directed by Maryam Bahrul Uloomi won the award for the best film in the women filmmakers section of the festival, and the award for the best documentary of the festival went to “Holy Bread” directed by Rahim Zabihi. Also, Sosan Parvar was chosen as the best actress for her role in the movie “Botox” by Kaveh Mazaheri.
The 21st Dhaka International Film Festival will be held in Bangladesh from January 14 to 22.
