Photo by M. Sayyad individual exhibition

Individual photo exhibition of Mohammad Sayad, entitled: Photo by M. Sayyad will be held from September 12 to November 20 at Nabshi center.

This show presents several hundred photos with the attached description of the image that those years to present and send to CP news agencies. (Canadian Press) was registered and prepared. In addition to this style of presentation, a number of large-scale photographs depict the pure and thought-provoking moments of this period.

This is the third part of the display of news photos of Mohammad Sayyad in Nabshi center after showing photos of the Iraqi Kurdish revolution and refugees.

Both previous sections of the exhibition were recorded with the camera of Mohammad Sayyad, who is always present on the stage. In addition to photographic prints of the same days, sometimes for newspapers and sometimes with short text for news agencies; Some of the negatives are selected and printed on photo paper along with a number of scanned contacts from the photographer’s archive that remain on the decoupage pages of a film.

The narration of the first part begins with the heat of the days of the revolution: the overflowing photos of the crowd recall the days when the people and the streets of Tehran were full and excited, watching the conquest and victory. In this series of photographs, we see the narrative of the revolution in several scenes; Some of them are depicted until the end of 1978 and some of them are depicted up to the currents of the early sixties and the events that took place in the continuation of the currents of the revolution. Mohammad Sayyad, being among the people and taking scenes similar to the point of view of the present population, recorded moments that simultaneously convey a sense of fear and hope. Many of the prints and negatives of this period have been lost in the context of the revolution and its side events, which has made the file of the photographs of the revolution thinner than other photographs of the subject.

According to the gallery’s public relations, the third part of the exhibition is dedicated to the eight-year period of the imposed war. Wartime photographs begin with the daily life of the Iranian people during the war and cover the front and front lines, the devastation, the resistance of Khorramshahr and Ahvaz, the urban bombings, and the epic and tragic moments. Some of the photos boldly go to the forefront of the war and the front lines and the scenes of the chemical bombing of civilians, and others appear shoulder to shoulder with the people among the ranks of civilian refugees and marches in support of the fighters.
