The Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for Arts made some points about securing the surroundings of the City Theater, considering the conditions of the last two weeks, as well as the resumption of theatrical activities and galleries.
According to Artmag.ir, citing ISNA, on the sidelines of the performance of the musical drama project “Restless Soul”, a joint work of Sajjad Afsharian and Ehsan Abdipour, which was performed in the main hall of the City Theater Complex, Nadereh Rezaei explained to reporters about the necessity of securing the City Theater, considering the recent events: “Since it was necessary to resume artistic activities and also the people’s daily lives must return to normal conditions, and at the same time, considering the role of art in terms of resilience and overcoming difficult conditions, we resumed the performances.”
She continued: “Given the resumption of activities, we are considering helping to improve security in a situation where parts of it are not in our hands in the country as a whole.” Fortunately, we are in a ceasefire situation, but we have coordinated with security agencies and our friends have thought of security measures, and people have cooperated a lot in the inspections that have been carried out from the perspective of the security and health of the audience themselves. I hope that the performances will increase and increase in complete safety and peace for the people, and in particular, we will be able to have more programs in the field of public performances alongside the people and on the streets.
Regarding the continuation of the activity of the galleries, the Deputy Minister of Arts also said: A number of galleries have resumed their activities and we will visit them soon. Of course, on behalf of the Deputy Minister, Mr. Dabirinejad and Mehdizadeh have visited a few galleries, but I and Mr. Dr. Salehi (Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance) will definitely visit the galleries at the appropriate time and talk to them to see with their own minds what is best to do in this situation.
