The call for or 25th and 26th editions of Mehregan Literary Prize has been published.
According to Artmag.ir, the Mehregan Prize Secretariat, by publishing the call for entries for the 25th and 26th editions of Mehregan Literature Prize to select the best novel and short story collection in Persian and the best novel and short story collection in the mother tongue, invites publishers and writers to submit their works to the Mehregan Prize Secretariat by September 22, 2025.
Publishers and authors can participate in the award by submitting three copies of each of their first-edition novels or short story collections published in Iran between 2023 and 2024.
Also, publishers and authors outside Iran whose first edition of their work was or will be published between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025, can participate in this Mehregan Literature Prize by submitting an electronic file (PDF) of the book or by submitting three printed copies of the work until January 20, 2026.
In the sixth and seventh editions of the Mehregan Prize for Native Language Literature, novels and collections of stories that were first written in the author’s native language within the cultural and geographical scope of Iran and then published in Persian translation inside or outside Iran are eligible. Therefore, publishers and writers in the field of native language literature can submit works published between 2021 and 2024 to the Mehregan Prize Secretariat by the announced date (September 22, 2025).
It is worth noting that due to the lengthy process of publishing these works, a four-year period has been considered for this Mehregan Prize for Native Language Literature.
