An Iranian selected as one of Judges for 2026 Golden Globe Awards Ceremony

Mansour Jahani, an independent and international cinema journalist, was officially invited by Tim Gray, Executive Vice President of the Golden Globe Awards, to be one of the jury members for the 83rd Golden Globe Awards 2026 in the United States.
According to Artmag.ir, he was previously a judge for the prestigious and specialized film magazine IndieWire in the Cannes International Film Festival’s critics’ poll in 2023, 2024, and 2025. At the official invitation of Tim Gray, Executive Vice President of the Golden Globe Awards, a veteran world cinema journalist, and former editor in chief of the prestigious film magazine Variety, he will be present as a judge and voter from Iran at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, which is considered one of the most prestigious film and television awards events in the United States.
The Golden Globe voters include experienced film and television journalists from around the world who are active throughout the year and participate in various international film festivals; after careful review and final evaluation, they are part of the jury of this prestigious artistic event and report the latest trends in the entertainment industry to enthusiasts.
The Golden Globes have a special place worldwide among the awards that celebrate the works and artists of various fields of cinema, television and podcast programs.
The 83rd edition of this ceremony is scheduled to be held in January 2026 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, USA.
Mansour Jahani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a focus on “Culture and Art” from the “News” faculty affiliated with IRNA News Agency. He graduated from the higher education course “Film Studies: Theory, Criticism and Analysis” at the National Cinema School of Iran in 2018 under the supervision of professors and in the presence of international experts from various fields of cinema and interdisciplinary studies such as; Jonathan Rosenbaum, Professor Jean-Michel FRODON, Dr. Agnès Devictor, Dr. Jacques Kermabon, Dr. Marion Zilio, Dr. Àngel Quintana, and prominent Iranian critics and professors.
Mansour Jahani is a member of International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) in Belgium, a regular member of the Iranian Journalists’ Guild, a member of Iranian Writers, Reporters and Sports Photographers’ Association (ISJA), a member of International Sports Journalists’ Association (AIPS) in Switzerland, a member of the Iranian Cinema Critics and Writers’ Association, a member of the National Guild of Iranian Theater Critics, Writers and Researchers, a regular member of the Guild of Journalists of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, a member of the Association of Iranian Cinema Advertising Designers and Managers, and a member of the Iranian Music House Researchers’ Association. In recent years, and currently, he is an international correspondent for Artmag.ir (a portal for professional Iranian artists), who has received the Journalism Award from Gothenburg Fine Arts Association in Sweden in his news and artistic career.
