Inauguration of IRNA and Sputnik photo exhibition
The joint photo exhibition of Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and Sputnik News Agency was opened online with the aim of introducing the history of Iran-Russia relations and showing the sights of the two countries.
According to Artmag, in this online exhibition, which includes three sections of relations between the two countries, political, economic, cultural and military meetings and tourism; 70 photographs from archives of IRNA and the state news agency Sputnik are on display.
In the history section of the relations between the two countries, the audience can get acquainted with some less seen developments in the relations between Tehran and Moscow by viewing pictures from 1927 until today. Political, economic, cultural and military meetings, the signing of historic agreements between Tehran and Moscow, as well as political and cultural cooperation between the two countries in different decades, are among the topics observed in this section. In the tourism section, photos of some selected and touristic places of the two countries are displayed.
IRNA and Sputnik News Agency have signed a memorandum of professional cooperation with each other, and within the framework of this memorandum, while exchanging news, they are implementing programs for exchanging experience and holding training workshops. The two sides have so far held at least seven videoconferences to discuss news developments.
Last week, a workshop on photojournalism was held by Sputnik online for a group of news students. The Iranian lecturer introduced by IRNA will give a speech and a question and answer session for the journalism students of Kazan University, Russia, on December 8, within the framework of Sputnik News Agency’s educational program.
