According to Artmag.ir, Akbar Zanjanpour, a veteran actor and director of cinema, theater and television and announcer, was born on January 22, 1945 in Tehran.He started acting in the theater in 1966 in university.

He graduated from Faculty of Fine Arts in 1970 and started teaching at university in 1986 and was a member of the National Theater Committee in UNESCO in 1989 and 1990.
Examples of his works include Dance on the Glass, GA Report on a Murder, Saman, Reverse, and The Cherry Orchard.
