21st Tassvir Sal (Image of the Year) celebration and Tassvir Film Festival concluded on Friday evening, March 14, with the introduction of the winners of the various sections and the four categories of film, cartoon, photography, and graphics.
According to Artmag.ir, citing Mehr News Agency, the closing ceremony of the 21st “Image of the Year” celebration and Tassvir Sal (Image Film Festival) was held on Friday evening, March 14, in the presence of Nadereh Rezaei, Deputy Minister of Culture for Arts, Shina Ansari, Vice President and Head of the Environmental Protection Organization, Ahmad Masjeedjamei, Reza Kianian, Shahram Mokri, Saed Nikzat, Mehdi Azadi, Bozorgmehr Hosseinpour, Reza Abedini, and a large gathering of artists and judges from various sections of this event at the Shahnaz Hall of the Iranian Artists’ House.
Shina Ansari, the head of the Environmental Protection Organization, who was the first to add the environmental section to the “Image of the Year” celebration this year, emphasized in a short speech the role of art tools in solving environmental problems and said: I am very happy that the environmental section was added to the “Tassvir Sal” event and the Image Film Festival so that we can witness the efforts and concerns of concerned people. There are many problems in the environmental field, from the lack of environmental resources that has become a crisis and we are facing it in big cities to the problems of the wildlife sector, environmental protection and unsustainable development programs, among some of our problems in this field.
She stated: Due to the neglect of the environment and the short-term view of this sector and the overuse of nature’s power capacity, we are facing the issue of subsidence. In all these sectors, we as the Environmental Protection Organization and you artists as the protectors of the environment have a serious duty.
Shina Ansari stated: “If we want to use the capacity of art, it will be a great thing, because with the tool of art, demandingness is raised as a main challenge, and people and society will more easily accept the responsibility and concern of you artists as a reference group. Therefore, I ask you artists to be helpful in this path and use the capacities available in this field.”
Mohsen Khanjahani, Honorary Secretary of the Environmental Section of the “Tassvir Sal” Celebration and the Image Film Festival, announced that this event will be held city by city throughout the year and stated: “We are planning to show the works of the “Image of the Year” Celebration and the Image Film Festival that are related to the environment in the provinces, and this presence will start in Bushehr, so that next year at this time we will hold the 22nd festival.”
Following the ceremony, it was time to present the event’s awards, and Reza Kianian came on stage to announce the names of the winners in various categories.
